Safety Concept

With your safety in mind, we have developed a COVID-19 protection concept. Creating a wonderful art experience, one that is safe for visitors and staff, even in these challenging times, is a priority. To ensure everyone’s protection at Kunsthalle Basel, the institution has developed a protection concept that implements the Covid-19 measures of the federal and cantonal government. In addition to the basic rules regarding hygiene and social distancing, the following measures are in place:
– a valid CH- or EU/EFTA-Corona certificate (2G = vaccinated/recovered) with a QR-Code and an official ID are required to visit Kunsthalle Basel. The validity of the certificate can only be verified by scanning a QR code with the application “Covid Certificate.” The certificate requirement applies to visitors aged 16 and over.
mask-wearing is mandatory in all publicly accessible rooms
– Visits by school- or other groups are only possible after prior registration via or +41 61 206 99 00.
